¡La energía solar-nuestro futuro!
-El autor de Energía solar en sistemas de 12-voltios

Muchas personas se maravillan de este mundo. ¿Porqué es como es? ¿Qué traerá el futuro? Me llamo Michel Daniek y soy una de esas personas. Cuando era joven siempre quería saber todo sobre este mundo. Pero durante mucho tiempo he encontrado aún más preguntas que respuestas. A la edad de 13 años, ya fascinado por la astronomía y leyendo la teoría de la relatividad de Albert Einstein, constaté que ni los físicos conocían todas las respuestas. La ciencia misma queda maravillada de ese gran misterio del universo.
Sobre todo me preocupaban las preguntas sobre nuestra sociedad y la protección del medio ambiente. Según parece, la mayoría de nosotros sigue todavía sin reconocer los dramáticos problemas que surgen del CO2 y de la radioactividad. Si seguimos quemando los combustibles fósiles como el petróleo, el gas natural y el carbón; el oxígeno en nuestra atmósfera será consumido y retransformado en CO2. El contenido de oxígeno en nuestra atmósfera fue producido por las plantas de la tierra en epocas pasadas. Además la deforestación reduce las posibilidades de la producción de oxígeno. Si no paramos el consumo de los combustibles fósiles, modificaremos artificialmente la atmósfera de la tierra de tal modo que la humanidad no podrá sobrevivir.
Además, el problema de la radiactividad como subproducto indeseable del uso de la energía nuclear, producida por las pruebas de explosiones nucleares y accidentes en centrales nucleares, como Czernobyl, parece ser la principal causa de enfermedades genétícas. Está comprobado que las radiaciones nucleares modifican la información contenida en genes biologicamente relevantes para la integridad del organismo, además de ser una de las principales causas para el cáncer. Los innumerables estudios en población de regiones contaminadas por radiactividad avalan lo anterior. Así los casos de cancer han aumentado en paralelo con el aumento de la radiactividad "natural" desde el descubrimiento de la fision nuclear.
Como muchos de mi generación, cuando era joven, me preguntaba: ¿Cuánto tiempo más quisieramos ser espectadores pasivos de la destrucción de nuestros medios fundamentales de subsistencia en este planeta hermoso? ¿Cuándo nuestra civilización será suficientemente madura para no dejar a sus niños un montón de problemas de medio ambiente y para no dejar tantos residuos nucleares como para poner en peligro la salud de centenares de generaciones siguientes?
Por todo esto estoy seguro de que la energía solar nos ayudará a salir paso a paso de la misería de la energía de combustibles fósiles y de la catástrofe de la energía nuclear. ¡Sin duda alguna la energía del futuro será la energía solar! ¡La fuente energética numero uno será siempre el sol! Sin embargo aunque las técnicas y materiales de la energía solar son provechosos se utiliza realmente poco. ¿Por qué? La tecnología que utiliza la energía directa del sol está suprimida por grandes intereses de grupos comerciales y políticos. Estos grupos difunden falsos argumentos y utilizan modelos, inventos, proyectos y estudios de energía solar con el único propósito de demostrar que son inviables. Ellos proclaman que la energía solar es demasiado cara, pero deberíamos sopesar los costes verdaderos de la contaminación nuclear y por CO2 de los combustibles fósiles frente a los de la energía solar. La totalidad de la fabricación de placas solares pertenece entretanto a las compañias del petróleo que desde hace años dictan precios prohibitivos incrementados hasta 10 veces. Y todo esto sólo para evitar la competencia con sus propias centrales convencionales de tal modo que sigan existiendo el más tiempo posible.
Con estas aspiraciones las industrias eléctricas producen mas electricidad de la que se necesita actualmente, creando la ilusión a los consumidores de que no hay límite en la cantidad de combustible que se puede consumir. No se tiene conciencia de que pueda ser un problema y nadie piensa a cerca de cuanto está usando. Muchos aparatos modernos requieren más energía hoy que antes. Las industrias eléctricas sacan al mercado productos como por ejemplo TV programados y aparatos que siguen gastando energía estando apagados; estos aparatos consumen juntos en un país como Alemania, la cantidad de energía que produce una central nuclear. El consumidor nunca estará informado de ese gasto eléctrico tan inútil. Casi nunca el personal en las tiendas lo sabe. Además se propagan falsas informaciones de que es mejor, por ejemplo, que los ordenadores queden encendidos 24 horas. En resumidas cuentas, lo que le concierne a la industría de energía es simplemente hacer tanto dinero como sea posible y aún aumentar el consumo de energía.
Por añadidura, queda el problema de la "contaminacíon" por el electrosmog en el sistema de 230-voltios. Los campos magnéticos alrededor de los postes y cables electricos de alto voltaje polucionan grandes áreas. Esto no es tan inofensivo como se hubiera estimado. El electrosmog puede provocar insomnio y nerviosismo y dañar a nuestras defensa. Aunque ya hay informaciones sobre el daño del electrosmog en dormitorios y de llamar por móvil, la totalidad del problema queda desconocida o escondida tanto como sea posible.

Pero quiero volver a mi propia historia y mis intentos de no formar parte del problema sino parte de la solución. Nací en 1964 en Gießen, Alemania. Crecí, hijo único de un fontanero en una familia de clase media. Interesado por la tecnología tenía la ocasión desde los primeros días de mi infancia de aprender, jugando en el taller de mi padre, el uso de las herramientas. Después de una formación de mecánico industrial para coches empecé luego a buscar alternativas posibles de vida. Trabajé muchos años como constructor y mecánico de bicicletas para personas discapacitados. Pero cuando tenía 30 años me sentía muy descontento de mi vida en Alemania. En 1995 me acondicioné un camión para viajar. Durante el viaje ensayaba con el sistema solar de mi caravana. Desde 1997 vivo y trabajo con energía solar en mi nueva patria adoptiva en un pequeño pueblo alternativo en Andalucía.
Con todos nuestros problemas globales, tanta ignorancia casi no se puede entender racionalmente. ¿Cuánto tiempo queremos aún depender de los políticos y de gerentes de consorcio? Hace tiempo que ya deberíamos haber aprendido ha ser responsables y hacer algo nosotros mismos para intentar andar independemente nuevos caminos. Sin duda alguna, me parece que el problema es que no estamos listos para percibir la situación en la que nos encontramos. No miramos realmente la destrucción del medio ambiente y sus consecuencias, ni estamos listos para creer que el proceso de destrucción es real. Considerando esta peligrosa situación, la primera necesidad es que reconozcamos y comprendamos las raíces de esta crisis global. Los problemas que nos lo impiden no son de tipo económico ni técnico, sino que reflejan el estado emocional, moral y espiritual de la humanidad de hoy en día y el nivel del desarrollo de consciencia de nuestra especie. Es una imagen de la alienación de la humanidad moderna de sí misma y de sus valores espirituales en la vida.
Creo que esta separación de sí misma y de la naturaleza produce un anhelo profundo de unión. Intentamos entonces reconstruir esa unidad creando compensaciones. Por eso la apetencia humana es tan insaciable, por eso el hombre añora la infinita alegría. En lugar de descubrir la unidad intemporal la repone por el deseo de inmortalidad, en lugar de unirse con el cosmos busca dominarlo, en lugar de unirse con Dios quiere ser Dios mismo.
Cuando tenía 32 años estaba seguro de que la energía solar era la solución perfecta para nuestro problema global de energía. Por fin algo práctico se podía hacer, por fin había un camino concreto que parecía salir por lo menos de una de las crisis de nuestra civilización. Como buen idealista pensaba que cada uno conocía la existencia de ese problema tan urgente de energía y del medio ambiente y que a la mayoría de la gente le faltaba solo un poco de ayuda y de habilidad para saber como solucionarlo o como contribuir a la solución...¡gracias a mi pasión por construir podía ofrecer unas soluciones muy prácticas!
Hoy, 10 años después, pienso que la solución será construir tantos sistemas solares y eólicos como sea posible, conectarlos a la red eléctrica nacional y al mismo tiempo aprender a consumir menos electricidad hasta que podamos apagar las viejas centrales fósiles y nucleares.
Seguro que falta todavía mucho tiempo para ese momento, pero para mucha gente mis trabajos y mis ideas ya han sido un impulso para desarrollar aún mas la consciencia por la energía. Soy consciente de que todos estos sistemas solares independientes implican algunos problemas ecológicos, como el problema de acumular energía en las baterías, pero espero crear ejemplos y posibilidades de aprender, jugando con estos sistemas, un uso mas consciente de energía. Estos son los primeros pasos importantes en áreas vitales para aprender a actuar de manera mas ecológica.

Por eso decidí en 1998 escribir un libro para principiantes sobre el uso de la energía solar y para publicar así mis trabajos y mis inventos. Ya ha salido la tercera edición completamente actualizada y puesta al día. El librito es una ayuda práctica para el uso autónomo de la energía solar y está disponible por poco dinero en alemán, inglés y español.
Desde hace muchos años disfruto de la electricidad solar en mi casa y en mi taller de madera y metal y además en mi tiempo libre en el equipo de música de mi grupo, imitando a Jimi Hendrix. Muchas veces me asombro de la simplicidad con la que muchas cosas se pueden hacer. Me alegró de los ojos y las orejas maravillados de mucha gente que nunca hubieran pensado que esto sería posible.
Por ejemplo: ¿Quien se hubiera imaginado que se puede soldar muy bien metal con electricidad solar? Y aún mejor que con la mayoría de los aparatos usuales en el comercio que funcionan con electricidad nuclear. Al mismo tiempo que la técnica para hacerlo es tan simple, que toda persona con habilidad artesanal lo puede reconstruir sin problema ninguno. Usando solo 3 baterías de coche, un ladrillo de agujeros enrollado por un alambre, una bobina hecha en casa y cables adecuados, es posible construir un soldador muy potente.
Pero ¡Cuidado! ¡Seguir las instrucciones del librito solar por favor!

A quien le gusta vivir al lado de la civilización, como yo, pero que depende de la corriente de red debe ser creativo. Todo mi taller de madera y metal funciona entretanto con corriente de batería de 12- o 24-voltios. Además están sacando al mercado más y más aparatos acumuladores. Funcionan principalmente sin problemas con corriente solar si están enchufados a una batería solar en lugar del acumulador con un adaptador hecho en casa. Desde años formo parte de un grupo de constructores de casas ecológicas de madera y ya no es un problema construir casas de madera enteras con electricidad solar en regiones alejadas.
Si uno decide vivir sólo con electricidad solar no tiene ni siquiera que renunciar a disfrutar de música a volumen muy alto. Hay amplificadores de coche de 3000-wattios que pueden realizar todos los sueños. Un amplificador de coche de 200-wattios ya puede hacer sonar una guitarra eléctrica como la legendaria guitarra de Jimi Hendrix.
Amplificadores de coche de 300-wattios transformados en amplificadores de bajo, pueden ser mucho mas potentes que los de profesionalidad comparable funcionando con corriente de red.
La mayor parte del tiempo los aparatos que funcionan con corriente solar son energéticamente aún más eficientes y mas económicos. Tengo una lavadora solar con un tubo para calentar el agua por el calor del sol y un motor de limpiaparabrisas de desguace que consume nada más que 50 wattios. No es completamente automática pero limpia como una lavadora normal de más de 2000 wattios de consumo.


Pero para mí, lo más importante con sistemas solares autónomos es la educación en la consciencia de la energía. Un polímetro viejo sirve fácilmente para indicar la carga de las baterías y así se desarrolla un sentido de cuanto se consume y se aprende un uso más sencillo y más económico de la energía.




Todo esto y mucho más está explicado en el librito solar en mi libro, la reconstrucción esta descrita de manera comprensible aún para aficionados. El librito contiene descripciones de baterías, de módulos solares y de reguladores; informaciones interesantes acerca de interruptores, cables, enchufes y fusibles con instrucciones de como hacer planos de conexión. Un curso básico de electricidad y de los instrumentos de medir posibilitan a cada cual la construcción de su propio sistema solar y su uso.
En la parte práctica se encuentran informaciones sobre convertidores, una introducción a la problemática del electrosmog y además muchos trucos e ideas sobre luces, instrucciones de construcción para adaptar a la corriente solar equipos de música, herramientas y el legendario soldador electrónico; un afilador solar, instrumentos para medir la carga y voltios de baterías y planos de conexión para reguladores solares hechos en casa muy simples y libres de electrosmog. Y al final tablas de transistores y de resistores y muchos ejemplos e imágenes interesantes completan la obra. Solar energy is our future!
The author of Solar Power with 12 Volt Systems on his life, work, and convictions

Many people wonder about the current state of this world. Why it is like it is, and what the future might bring? My name is Michel Daniek, and I am one of these people. Since I was a teenager, I wanted to know all about the world, but for a long time I found only more questions instead of answers. Interested in Astronomy and reading Albert Einstein already at 13 years old, I realized that not even physics had all the answers. Even the world of science seemed to be a big mystery in itself.
But most of all I always wondered about our society and environmental health on earth. Collectively seen we still don't seem to recognize the dramatic problems caused by CO² and radioactivity. If we will burn up all the fossil fuels like mineral oil, natural gas and coal, we are also using up the oxygen in our atmosphere changing it back to CO² again. The oxygen content of our atmosphere was created by photosynthesising plants over millions of years of life’s in our planet’s evolution. Deforestation is reducing the Earth’s capacity to maintain the oxygen content of the atmosphere at levels suitable for complex life forms like us. If we don’t stop pressing our foot on the gas pedal of fossil fuels, we will produce an atmosphere without oxygen, similar to primeval times on earth again. The content of oxygen in our atmosphere has declined since the industrial age.

The problem of radioactivity as an unwanted waste-product of nuclear energy, as a leftover of atomic bomb tests and reactor accidents such as Tschernobyl, is likely to be one of the main causes for genetic illnesses. Radioactivity causes mutations that can lead to genetic defects. Studies on people who lived in radioactive contaminated areas simply don't allow any other conclusions. The so-called "natural background radioactivity" has increased a lot since the discovery of the nuclear fission, and so we have the increased frequency of various forms of cancer.
As a young man I wondered, like many others of my generation, how long do we still want to watch, paralyzed and idle, how all our basic living conditions are destroyed on this lovely planet ? When will this civilization finally become adult and responsible enough, not to leave a giant heap of environmental problems to their own children and enough radioactive waste to endanger future generations for millennia ?

These issues and questions have lead me to believed in solar energy as an important step away from the fossil fuel crisis and the catastrophe of nuclear energy. Solar power is the energy of our future ! The number one energy source was and always will be the sun! But why, despite the fact that all the techniques and materials are available, is solar energy still not more widely used ?
I am personally convinced that technologies using energy directly from the sun are being suppressed by big business and political interests. These groups spread misinformation and use solar models, inventions, projects and studies for the sole purpose of proving them as non-profitable. They claim that solar energy is too expensive. Do these claims really hold if we weigh their cost against the true cost of nuclear contamination and CO² output from fossil fuels? At the end of the day, the energy industry’s only concern is simply to make as much profit as possible. Even most solar panel production today is in the hands of petroleum companies who can dictate the prices.
Furthermore, the electricity industries do not produce appliances requiring less energy, or remind people to use energy more efficiently. Instead they put products on the market such as television sets, music, and video equipment with “standby” buttons and many other appliances that use power even when they’re switched off. A German study has demonstrated that appliances on standby require an entire nuclear power station’s output, to do nothing. Rather than increasing efficiency, companies still develop equipment that consumes much more than its predecessors. The consumer isn't informed about this senseless consumption of electricity. Even specialist retail doesn’t really know or inform about these problems. In addition, unfounded rumours are spread, such as, computers should best be left switched on for 24 hours. All this is obviously done only to increase the electricity consumption to the maximum, just to maximise profit in the short term.
Also, there is the problem of “electro smog” – electromagnetic fields around electricity pylons and wires. High voltage electricity pylons produce huge electromagnetic fields which cover large areas of land. This is not without danger to organic life. For example, electro smog can cause sleeplessness, nervousness and can damage the immune system of the body. People are becoming now more aware of this problem. The electro smog load of mobile telephones has already become a topic, and minimising electro smog in bedrooms is now one aspect of environmental house building. But the full extent of the problems associated with the pollution of electro smog is either largely still unknown or hidden.


But let me return to my own story and attempts to be part of the solution rather than part of the problem, like my friend Patrick Whitefield likes to say. I was Born 1964 in Giessen, Germany, and grew up in a middle class family as the only son of a plumber. Interested in technology, I got the opportunity to play in my father’s workshop since my early childhood. As a teenager I completed an apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic in the motor industry, but soon I started wondering if there could be alternative ways of living. For a number of years, I worked as a bicycle mechanic for handicapped people, but when I reached 30 I found myself totally dissatisfied with the way of living in Germany, and bought myself a truck to live in and left Germany in search for other ways of life. Travelling around Europe I played with the small solar system in my truck and have lived and worked with solar energy every day. In 1997, I found myself a new home in an alternative village in the sunny south of Spain.

In view of all our global problems, I find the still widespread ignorance very hard to understand. How long do we still want to rely on the politicians and big industries? I passionately believe that it is time to take our own responsibility seriously and therefore to try to walk new ways independently.
As far as I see it, the disaster lies first of all in this, that we are not willing to see the situation in which we undoubtedly are. The environmental destruction and its consequences are still not really in front of our eyes, or many even aren't really ready to regard the destruction process as real. In consideration of this dangerous situation it is essential that we recognize and understand the deeper roots of the global crisis in ourselves. The problem reflects the emotional, moral and spiritual condition of humankind today, and expresses the current state of consciousness of our species. In the end, I believe, it is not a matter of economic or technical problems; our situation reflects the estrangement of modern humanity from itself and a profound confusion about the intrinsic and spiritual values of all life. I think the separation from our true nature causes a deep longing, and that’s why we try to fill the resulting lack of meaning with substitute satisfactions. That is why human desire is so insatiable. We seem to long for never-ending joys. Instead of enjoying our timeless presence as co-creative participants of life’s continuous exploration of novelty, we hunt for self-affirmation and immortality. Instead of being one with the cosmos we wish to be its master. Instead of uniting with God and our divine nature and co-creative agency, we want to play God disregarding life as the sacred ground of our being.


When I reached 32, I was convinced that small decentralized solar systems are the perfect solution for our global energy problems. Here we all can practically engage and really do something. Here seemed to be a real way out of at least one of the disastrous dead ends our civilization is heading towards. I saw that many people seemed to be a little clumsy and helpless when it came to using solar power practically, and thanks to my passion as a thinker and my practical experience, I felt that I had some quite practical solutions to offer! Now, almost 10 years later, I believe the solution could be two things. First, we need to connect more and more solar power into the grid; and second, we need to use less and less energy until the old power stations can be switched off.
There is still a long way ahead of us, but for many my work and ideas have already offered a way towards further development of a greater energy consciousness. Knowing that these small solar systems are only the first steps and still only ecological compromises, I hope to create at least possibilities and living examples in which we can learn playfully to be more conscious with our energy use.
In 1998 this made we want to write a beginners book about simple solar energy systems and publish all my ideas and inventions as a resource for others. Initially my work was published in the form of handwritten, photocopied booklets, but the 3rd edition has been actualized and is now fully revised, word processed, and illustrated. The book is available, at a very reasonable price, in English, German and Spanish.

For many years, I have had endless fun with being able to operate my own household, my wood and metal workshop and even some of my hobbies like our Jimi-Hendrix cover band only by solar energy. Again and again I have been astonished by how easy and simple 12- Volt photovoltaic solutions are in the end. The astonished eyes and ears of many people who have never regarded this as possible have been a constant amusement and encouragement for me.

Let me give you some examples: Who can imagine that one can weld metal quite wonderfully with solar energy? And, that is possible with results that are even better than the ones achieved with most customary high voltage welding devices. Even better, this technology is so simple, that all manually talented people can easily copy it. With only three second hand car batteries, a current regulator made from old fence wire and some thick welding cables you can build yourself very potent welding equipment. But ATTENTION ! These welding systems are very powerful, so please read all safety instructions in the book before you try to copy it !

My whole wood and metal workshop now runs on 12 or 24 volts battery current. This is also possible because more and more professional wireless tools are now readily available. They usually work easily with solar current, if they are attached, without the original battery-pack, via a self-made adapter directly to the solar battery. Over the last few years I have been part of a team building wooden eco-houses only using tools powered by solar energy.

If we choose to live only with solar energy we also don't have to do without real loud music any more. Car amplifiers with up to 3000 watts leave no more wishes open even for huge PA-Systems. And a small 200 watts car amplifier already lets a guitar yell out like the legendary guitar of Jimi Hendrix. A standard 300 watt car amplifier, modified as a bass amplifier, often turns out to have more pressure than many comparable professional main current amplifiers.

Often, these new self made solar-powered devices operate much more effective and are much more energy-saving. My own washing machine, made with a simple warm water collector out of old plastic tubes and an old car windscreen wiper motor from the scrap yard, still does it not total automatically but uses only 50 watts and washes just as cleanly as every normal machine with over 2000 watts of electricity consumption.

Nevertheless, I still believe that the most important thing to do is to develop and spread a new energy consciousness. It is not difficult to make easily readable voltmeters from old multimeters. These can help people, who want to live with solar power, to get a better feeling about their own electricity consumption.

I have done my best to describe every step understandably even for laypeople, who have little or no experience as electricians. The book includes detailed practical knowledge about batteries, solar panels, regulators, cables, switches and fuses, as well as an elementary course in becoming a 12 volt electrician for solar power use and a basic ABC of how to read and use a multimeter. My intention in writing this book was to enable people to connect their own solar system and to give them many tips and tricks about inverters, lights, music systems, cordless tools, solar tracking systems, solar grinding, solar welding and more. Furthermore, the book contains an introduction and a of lot useful information about the big theme of electro smog.

My hope with this is: to add something useful to this world, to enable more and more people to go solar, to share my own fun with others in using less and less energy, so we hopefully can say to our children one day: It wasn't easy, but in the end we have managed to really make a difference and turn things for the better.

Viele Leute wundern sich über diese Welt. Warum ist sie so wie sie ist, und was wird uns die Zukunft bringen? Mein Name ist Michel Daniek und ich bin einer von diesen Leuten. Seit ich ein Teenager war, wollte ich immer alles über diese Welt wissen. Doch für eine lange Zeit fand ich nur noch mehr Fragen als Antworten. Schon mit 13 Jahren, fasziniert durch die Astronomie, las ich Albert Einsteins Relativitätstheorie. Doch ich stellte fest, dass selbst die Physiker nicht alle Antworten kannten. Selbst die Wissenschaft steht staunend vor diesen großen Mysterium des Universums.
Doch am Meisten beschäftigten mich all die Fragen über unsere Gesellschaft und den Umweltschutz. Kollektiv gesehen erkennen wir scheinbar immer noch nicht alle die dramatischen Probleme die durch CO² und Radioaktivität entstehen. Wenn wir weiterhin die fossilen Brennstoffe wie Erdöl, Erdgas und Kohle verbrennen, wird der Sauerstoff in unserer Atmosphäre verbraucht und wieder zu CO² zurückverwandelt. Der Sauerstoffgehalt unserer Atmosphäre wurde durch die Pflanzen aller vergangenen Erdepochen erzeugt. Die Abholzung der Wälder reduziert zusätzlich die Möglichkeiten der Sauerstofferzeugung. Wenn wir nicht bald den Fuß vom Gaspedal der fossilen Brennstoffe nehmen, werden wir künstlich die Uratmosphäre der Erde vor dem pflanzlichen Leben erzeugen, in der wir als Menschen aber ohne den Sauerstoff nicht überleben können. Der Sauerstoffgehalt unserer Atmosphäre ist seit dem Industriezeitalter schon um einiges geschrumpft.


Ebenso scheint das Problem der Radioaktivität als unerwünschtes Abfallprodukt der Kernenergie, als Überbleibsel aller Atombombenversuche und schon so mancher Reaktorunfälle wie z.B. Tschernobyl die Hauptursache für genbedingte Krankheiten zu sein. Radioaktivität zerstört nachweislich lebensnotwendige Informationen in den Genen und kann schon lange als einer der Hauptursachen für Krebs nachgewiesen werden. Zahllose Studien über Menschen, die in radioaktiv verseuchten Gebieten lebten, lassen einfach keine anderen Schlüsse zu. Die sogenannte „natürliche Radioaktivität“ ist seit der Entdeckung der Kernspaltung um ein vielfaches angestiegen, ebenso wie die Krebsraten.
Als junger Mann fragte ich mich wie viele andere meiner Generation, wie lange wir noch wie gelähmt und tatenlos zusehen wollen, wie all unsere fundamentalen Lebensgrundlagen auf diesem wunderschönen Planeten zerstört werden? Wann endlich wird unsere Zivilisation erwachsen genug werden, seinen Kindern nicht einen riesen Haufen Umweltprobleme und genug verstrahlten Atommüll zu hinterlassen um gleich Hunderte von nachfolgenden Generationen damit gesundheitlich zu gefährden !?

All diese Fragen und Probleme überzeugten mich davon, dass Sonnen-Energie ein wichtiger Schritt heraus aus der Energie-Misere der fossilen Brennstoffe und der Katastrophe der Kernenergie ist. Sonnenenergie wird zweifellos die Energie der Zukunft sein. Der Energielieferant Nr.1 ist und bleibt nun mal die Sonne! Trotz schon seit langer Zeit ausgereifter Technik steckt die Sonnen-Energienutzung immernoch in den Kinderschuhen. Warum ?
Die Techniken, Sonnenergie direkt zu nutzen, werden von den sogenannten Energieversorgern und ihrer Lobby in Wirtschaft und Politik immernoch klein gehalten. Falsche Argumente werden in die Welt gesetzt und es wurden sogar Forschungsprojekte, Studien und Musteranlagen finanziert, die nur dazu dienen sollen, die Unwirtschaftlichkeit solcher Solarsysteme zu demonstrieren. Immernoch wird vor allem mit den viel zu hohen Kosten gegenargumentiert. Obwohl wahrscheinlich heute schon die Solarenergie um ein Vielfaches günstiger wäre, wenn wir die Folgeschäden an der Natur von radioaktiver Verseuchung und vom CO² Ausstoß mit einberechnen könnten. Die gesamte Solarpaneel-Produktion ist mittlerweile in den Händen der Ölgesellschaften, die somit seit Jahren die bis zu 10-fach überhöhten Preise diktieren können. Und all das schlussendlich nur, damit die bestehenden Kraftwerke noch so lange wie möglich konkurrenzlos bleiben können.


Die bewährte Politik der Stromversorger, unbegrenzt Bedarf zu wecken und dann profitabel zu decken, trägt ebenfalls nicht dazu bei, bewusster und sparsamer mit Energie umzugehen. Viele modernen Geräte verbrauchen heute mehr Strom als ihre Vorgänger. Immer mehr sogenannte Stand-By Geräte werden seit Jahren ungehindert in Umlauf gebracht, die alle zusammen sinnlos so viel Strom verschwenden, das schon allein in Deutschland die Leistung eines ganzen Atomkraftwerks dazu benötigt wird. Der Endverbraucher wird über diesen sinnlosen Strom-Verbrauch nicht aufgeklärt. Selbst das Fachpersonal in den Geschäften weiß so gut wie nie etwas davon. Zusätzlich werden falsche Gerüchte in die Welt gebracht, wie z.B. dass Computer jetzt am besten 24 Stunden am Tag eingeschaltet bleiben sollten…, am Ende alles nur aus Profitgier und um den Stromverbrauch immer noch weiter zu steigern.
Dazu kommt dann noch die ständige Belastung durch Elektrosmog im 230-Volt-Netz. Stromkabel und Hochspannungsleitungen erzeugen elektromagnetische Wechselfelder, die ganze Landstriche überdecken. Das ist nicht so harmlos wie wir immer dachten. Elektrosmog kann Schlaflosigkeit und Nervosität erzeugen und unser Immunsystem schädigen. Im Schlafzimmer und beim Telefonieren mit Handys ist die Elektrosmog-Belastung zwar schon zum Thema geworden, doch das gesamte Ausmaß des Problems ist entweder immernoch unbekannt oder wird so gut es geht verschleiert.

Doch ich möchte noch mal auf meine eigene Geschichte und Versuche zurückkommen selbst nicht auch Teil des Problems zu sein, sondern ein Teil der Lösung. Ich wurde 1964 in Gießen geboren und wuchs als einziger Sohn eines Heizungsbauers in einer kleinen Mittelstands-Familie auf. Interessiert in Technik bekam ich schon seit meiner frühen Kindheit die Möglichkeit, in der Werkstatt meines Vaters spielerisch den Umgang mit Werkzeug zu erlernen. Nach meiner Ausbildung als Industrie-Mechaniker in der Automobil-Industrie suchte ich schon bald nach alternativen Lebensmöglichkeiten. Ich arbeitete viele Jahre als Vorrichtungsbauer und Fahrrad-Mechaniker für behinderte Menschen. Doch mit 30 Jahren fühlte ich mich sehr unzufrieden mit meinem Leben in Deutschland. Ich baute mir 1995 einen LKW aus, um auf Reisen zu gehen. Unterwegs spielte und bastelte ich mit der kleinen Solaranlage meines Wohnmobils. Seit 1997 lebe und arbeite ich nun schon mit Solarenenergie in meiner neuen Wahlheimat in einem kleinen alternativen Dorf in Andalusien, im sonnigen Süden Spaniens.

All diese Ignoranz ist angesichts unserer globalen Probleme rational kaum zu begreifen. Wie lange wollen wir uns noch auf die Politiker und Konzernmanager verlassen? Ich glaube es ist längst an der Zeit Verantwortung zu übernehmen und selber etwas zu tun und zu versuchen, eigenständig neue Wege zu gehen.
Soweit ich es erkennen kann liegt das Verhängnis offensichtlich darin, dass wir nicht Willens sind, sie Situation, in der wir fraglos sind, zu sehen. Wir haben die Umweltzerstörung und deren Konsequenzen nicht wirklich vor Augen, oder sind nicht einmal wirklich bereit den Zerstörungsprozess für real zu halten. In Anbetracht dieser gefährlichen Situation ist es lebensnotwendig, dass wir die Wurzeln dieser globalen Krise erkennen und verstehen. Die Probleme, die uns im Wege stehen sind am Ende nicht wirtschaftlicher oder technischer Art. Sie reflektieren den emotionalen, moralischen und spirituellen Zustand der heutigen Menschheit und den Stand der Bewusstseinsentwicklung unserer Spezies. Sie spiegeln die Entfremdung der modernen Menschheit von sich selbst und den spirituellen Werten des Lebens.
Ich glaube dass diese Trennung und Abspaltung von sich selbst und von der Natur eine tiefe Sehnsucht nach dem Einswerden erzeugt. Wir versuchen dann diese Einheit wieder herzustellen, indem wir Ersatzbefriedigungen schaffen. Daher ist das menschliche Verlangen so unersättlich, daher sehnt sich der Mensch nach nie endenden Freuden. Anstatt die zeitlose Ganzheit zu finden, substituiert er sie durch den Wunsch nach Unsterblichkeit, anstatt mit dem Kosmos eins zu sein, hat er den Wunsch ihn zu beherrschen, anstatt mit Gott eins zu sein versucht er selbst Gott zu spielen.



Mit 32 war ich davon überzeugt dass Solarenergie die perfekte Lösung für unser globales Energie-Problem ist. Endlich konnte man etwas Praktisches tun, endlich gab es einen konkreten Weg, der aus wenigstens einer dieser vielen katastrophalen Sackgassen unserer Zivilisation heraus zu führen schien. Und ganz idealistisch dachte ich, dass jedem von uns dieses so aktuelle Energie- und Umwelt-Problem klar sein müsste, und die Meisten einfach nur etwas unbeholfen und ratlos davor stehen, und nicht wissen wie sie damit umgehen könnten, oder was jeder Einzelne dazu beitragen könnte.... Und da hatte ich dank meiner Bastel-Leidenschaft so einige ganz praktische Lösungen anzubieten !
Heute, 10 Jahre später, denke ich dass die Lösung vielleicht darin liegt, so viel Solar- und Windkraft- Anlagen wie möglich ans Netz zu bringen und gleichzeitig zu lernen immer weniger Strom zu verbrauchen, solange bis wir die alten fossilen und nuklearen Kraftwerke abschalten können.
Das ist sicher noch ein langer Weg, doch für viele waren meine Arbeiten und Ideen sicher schon ein Anstoß für eine Weiterentwicklung bezüglich einem größerem Energie-Bewusstsein. Ich bin mir bewusst dass all diese kleinen autarken Solaranlagen wegen dem Speicherproblem in Batterien leider immernoch ökologische Kompromisse sind, doch ich hoffe mit all den kleinen autarken Inselanlagen Beispiele und Möglichkeiten zu schaffen, an denen wir den bewussteren Umgang mit Energie spielerisch erlernen können. Sie sollen als erste Schritte und als wichtige und sinnvolle Lernfelder verstanden werden für ein umweltgerechteres Handeln.

Das bewog mich 1998 ein Einsteiger-Buch über einfache Solarenergie-Nutzung zu schreiben und damit all meine Arbeiten und Erfindungen zu veröffentlichen. Die 3.Auflage ist jetzt aktualisiert worden und auf dem neusten Stand. Das Heft ist als praktische Einstiegshilfe in die autarke Solarenergienutzung gedacht und für wenig Geld in den Sprachen Deutsch, Englisch und Spanisch erhältlich.
Seit vielen Jahren habe ich sehr viel Spaß daran, meinen eigenen Haushalt, meine Holz- und Metall-Werkstatt und sogar einige meiner Hobbies wie meine Jimi-Hendrix-Cover-Band auch mit Solarstrom betreiben zu können. Immer wieder staune ich selbst über die Einfachheit mit der sich Vieles realisieren lässt. Und freue mich über die erstaunten Augen und Ohren vieler Leute, die all das nie für möglich halten würden.



Lasst mich dazu einige Beispiele geben, denn wer kann sich z.B. schon wirklich vorstellen, dass man mit Solarstrom ganz wunderbar Metall schweißen kann, und das sogar meist auch noch besser wie mit den meisten handelsüblichen „Atomstrom-Schweißgeräten“. Dabei ist die Technik dafür so simpel, dass es alle handwerklich begabten Menschen problemlos nachbauen können. Mit nur drei Autobatterien, einem Strombergrenzer aus Zaundraht und einer selbstgewickelten Drosselspule und den passenden Schweißkabeln kann man sich im Nu ein sehr potentes Schweißgerät zusammenbasteln.
Aber Vorsicht! Beim Nachbau bitte alle Sicherheitshinweise aus dem Solar-Heft Beachten!


Wer wie ich gerne etwas abseits von all der Zivilisation und von Netzstrom lebt, wird eben einfach aus dieser „Not“ heraus erfinderisch. Meine ganze Holz und Metallwerstadt läuft mittlerweile auf 12 oder 24 Volt Batteriestrom. Nicht zuletzt, weil jetzt auch immer mehr professionelle Akku-Werkzeugmaschinen im Handel angeboten werden. Sie funktionieren meist problemlos mit Solarstrom, wenn sie ohne den Akku mit einem selbstgebastelten Adapter und passenden Kabeln direkt an die Solarbatterie angeschlossen werden. Seit Jahren bin ich Teil eines Öko-Holzhaus-Teams und es ist jetzt auch kein Problem mehr, selbst ganze Holzhäuser an abgelegenen Orten mit Solarenergie anzufertigen.

Wenn man sich entscheidet nur mit Solarstrom zu leben, muss man selbst auch auf richtig lauten Musik-Genuss nicht mehr verzichten. Autoendstufen mit bis zu 3000Watt lassen selbst für große PA-Anlagen keine Wünsche mehr offen. Und schon eine kleine 200Watt Auto-Endstufe lässt eine E-Gitarre aufschreien wie damals die legendäre Gitarre von Jimi Hendrix.
Und 300W-Auto-Endstufen umgebaut als Bassverstärker entpuppen sich oft als viel druckvoller als vergleichbare professionelle Netzstrom-Verstärker.


Meistens sind die Solar-betriebenen Geräte sogar noch viel effektiver und energiesparender. Meine auf Solar umgebaute Waschmaschine mit einem einfachen Wärmekollektor aus altem Bewässerungsschlauch und einem Auto-Scheibenwischer-Motor Antrieb vom Schrottplatz verbraucht etwa nur 50Watt und wäscht zwar nicht ganz vollautomatisch aber immerhin genauso sauber wie eine normale Waschmaschine mit über 2000Watt Stromverbrauch.

Doch für mich ist das allerwichtigste an autarken Solaranlagen die Schulung des Energie-Bewusstseins. Gut ablesbare Batterie-Ladezustandsanzeigen, selbstgebaut aus alten Multimetern, vermitteln schnell ein Gefühl über den eigenen Stromverbrauch und erziehen zur sinnvolleren Nutzung und zur Sparsamkeit.


All das und noch vieles mehr wird im erwähnten Solarheft von Michel Daniek anschaulich erklärt und der Nachbau auch für Laien verständlich beschrieben. Das Heft enthält eine Beschreibung von Batterien, Solarmodulen und Solar-Reglern, viel Wissenswertes über Schalter, Kabel, Stecker und Sicherungen bis hin zu einer Anleitung zum Zusammenbau der Komponenten. Ein kleiner Elektrik-Grundkurs und ein Messgeräte ABC sollte es dann jedem ermöglichen seine eigene kleine Solaranlage anzuschließen und in Betrieb zu nehmen.
Im Praktischen Teil befindet sich dann viel Wissenswertes über Inverter, und eine Einführung in die Elektrosmog- Problematik und noch viele Tips und Tricks über Lampen, Bauanleitungen zum Umbau von Musikanlagen, Werkzeugmaschinen und natürlich das legendäre Solarschweißgerät, ein Solar-Nachführungssystem, Batterie-Testgeräte, Voltmeter und Schaltpläne für einfache elektrosmogfreie Selbstbau-Solar-Regler. Ein kurzer Tabellenteil über Transistoren und Widerstände und viele interessante Beispiele und Fotos runden das Werk ab.

Meine Hoffnung ist es, damit etwas sinnvolles für diese Welt zu tun indem ich es mehr und mehr Menschen ermögliche auch solare Wege zu gehen. Ich möchte dabei meine Begeisterung und Freude mit allen Teilen immer weniger Energie zu verbrauchen, so dass wir vielleicht eines Tages zu unseren Kindern werden sagen können:
